How many years have you been a PA with OrthoCarolina?

What made you decide to become a PA?
I've always been fascinated with the human body and wanted to dive deeper into the medical field. I had a baseline knowledge through studying to become an athletic trainer but really wanted more.
What is a big challenge in your job?
The medical field is always changing and rarely is there only one way to manage an injury. The challenge that I have as a provider, is to stay on top of the latest medical advances by reading journals and attending conferences and subsequently be able to critically evaluate what is the best option for my patients.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I love the relationships with my patients. I love getting a chance to be involved in their lives.
When you were younger what did you want to be when you grew up?
Professional soccer player :)
Tell us a fun fact about yourself or something that people might not know about you:
I went to Hong Kong and Beijing, China to represent the Great Britain soccer team at the World University Games in 2001. We lost in the quarter finals to Japan on penalty kicks.
