SpineJ. Taylor Bellamy, M.D. is a board-eligible, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. Dr. Bellamy has a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques and treats all spinal conditions of the neck and back including degenerative, traumatic, and deformity conditions.
Dr. Bellamy graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia, completing his bachelor’s degree with a double major in Biology and Psychology. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Emory University School of Medicine and continued at Emory for his orthopedic surgery residency. He then completed his spine surgery fellowship at Harvard University, training at both Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. At Harvard, he received extensive training in all aspects of complex spine surgery, including the utilization of the most advanced techniques and technologies currently available. He has authored numerous publications and book chapters, while also presenting at both national and international orthopedic conferences.
Dr. Bellamy takes pride in helping patients navigate their spine issues. He believes in a patient-centered approach, tailoring his treatments both non-operatively and operatively to the individual patient’s needs. His goal is to help patients restore their lives by utilizing the most minimally invasive techniques possible.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Bellamy enjoys mountain biking, soccer, football, and spending time with his wife who is also a physician in the Winston-Salem area.
