Biography

Dr. Kurkis is a board-certified, fellowship-trained hip and knee replacement specialist. His practice encompasses primary hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic treatment of knee meniscus tears, and general orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Kurkis' team is experienced in outpatient and same-day discharge hip and knee replacement. He emphasizes multi-modal postoperative pain control during and after surgery to improve his patient's postoperative recovery. When indicated, he incorporates technology into his practice, including computer navigation and robotic-assisted total knee replacement surgery as well as fluoroscopically-guided direct anterior approach total hip replacement.

Dr Kurkis enjoys helping patients navigate through hip and knee issues, from initial nonoperative care through, when necessary, surgery. His primary goal is to help his patients return to their daily activities with less pain and improved function.
