Zoey Carroll placed second at the 2022 WWA World Championship just a few months after an almost career-ending injury resulting in the amputation of two fingers. Dr. Peter Waters covered her recovery and has been amazed at her fast recovery.
“Very few kids, as she knows and we talked about that with her parents, go from that injury to competition and then excel that fast. It’s really unusual, so she’s a very special kid.”- Dr. Waters
Zoey was back in the water just 26 days after her amputation and won her national championship 63 days after the amputation. She's excited to continue to hit the lake and train for next season!
