Each year during the first week of October we celebrate Physician Assistant Week nationwide. This week recognizes the PA profession and its contributions to the nation’s health, and it is also an opportunity to raise awareness and visibility of the profession. At OrthoCarolina, PAs have an important role in patient care. These comments from patients who have firsthand experience receiving care from PAs are a clear indicator that their work has a lasting impact. Thank you to our PAs for all that they do!
“Dr. Mackenzie Cox, PA-C, is a wonderful, caring and really listens to her patients.”
“I have constant knee problems. I saw Aaron Hewitt, who is a PA. This is the second time he has taken care of me. The first dealing with a torn rotator cuff. He is awesome. Breaks down the problem so the average person can understand exactly what is going on. In short, he is amazing.”
“Matt Howard, PA-C, was great. He got right to the problem and gave me the answers I needed. I would go back to him anytime I need more help.”
“I saw Julia Mayo, PA, with Dr. Howe. She could not have been nicer. She treated me with respect. She answered my questions appropriately and explained things in a way that I could easily understand.”
“Love Pietro Rondinelli! Pietro took time to talk with me, ask questions and listen. He said I didn’t necessarily need surgery for my hand and asked if I would like to try a cortisone shot. Today I have full use of my hand. The results are amazing. Thank you!”
“My son was seen by Joseph Cofer, PA-C, and he was an absolute pleasure, very upfront and pleasant. He (and the staff) were awesome. I found the practice very pleasant and courteous -- the atmosphere is inviting and calming, which is excellent for children.”
“I see Taryn Sanders, PA-C, at OrthoCarolina Matthews. Every time I go, is an experience of care, personable attention and an opportunity to discuss my care and situation. I love going there. Taryn is very knowledgeable and distinguished in this area of care.”
“I needed a total knee replacement. Dr. Keith Fehring and PA Jennifer Suckow provided outstanding care leading up to, during, and after the procedure. Each is quite patient and thorough with any questions I have had. You can tell they enjoy helping people get back on their feet!”
“Loved the PA I saw, Lynne Gilbert. She did a great job explaining exactly what my problem was and how we would go about treating my injury. I would definitely recommend the Boone office of OrthoCarolina!”
