Gastonia/Hand Center
How many years have you been a PA?
7 years this month!
How many years have you been a PA with OrthoCarolina?
3 technically. I was originally at Foot and Ankle but left and came back to now work in the Gastonia office in Hand with Dr. Woodside.
What made you decide to become a PA?
I have always been very interested in the medical field. My dad is a chiropractor and I was always in his office, helping out doing odds and ends so I was just always around it. I loved helping people and I find it fun and always challenging so it’s something you can never really get bored with. I also love talking so it’s perfect because I talk to patients all day long.
What is a big challenge in your
job?
There is always something new to learn no matter how long you have been doing it.
What do you enjoy about your job?
The people!! I love the Gastonia office. I think we have great camaraderie and work really well as a team. I feel like we all have each other’s back and really feel like a family.
When you were younger what did you want to be when you grew up?
Probably a princess, haha! But then reality hit and I realized I would need a real job.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself or something that people might not know about you:
I can walk on my hands doing a handstand for at least a minute and I also went skydiving when I was 18!
Anything else you want us to know about you or your job:
It’s the best!
