How many years have you been a PA?
4.5 years

How many years have you been a PA with OrthoCarolina?
4.5 years

What made you decide to become a PA?
I was an athletic trainer in the area for many years and worked closely with several OrthoCarolina PAs that were also former athletic trainers. I saw that it was a great profession and a way to continue to help people, but still potentially stay involved with sports.

What is a big challenge in your job?
Keeping up with Dr. Piasecki!

What do you enjoy about your job?
I love coming to work each day! I most enjoy sitting with patients and learning a bit about them before we dive into treating their injury or pain. I am lucky to get to work with a great team, and see nice people each day.

When you were younger what did you want to be when you grew up?
A vet that specialized in cats and whales. I had to give that up; office space would have been a problem!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself or something that people might not know about you:
I have a twin sister- she is pretty cool, I think I will keep her.

What else should we know about you?
I am fortunate to get to work with a surgeon that I respect and enjoy working with on a day to day basis. We have amazing staff at our Sports location, that make every day efficient and fun! Come visit us!

Watch for a new Meet the PA each month and get to know our physician assistants.
