Gaston and Loeffler honored by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) for their research

Dr. Glenn Gaston and Dr. Bryan Loeffler were recently honored by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) for their research on advancements in upper extremity amputee care at the 2017 AAOS Meeting in San Diego, CA.  Their educational video on targeted muscle reinnervation was awarded first place for the AAOS video theater.  Each year for the AAOS annual meeting, orthopedic educational videos are prepared and submitted by orthopedic surgeons to educate fellow orthopedic surgeons worldwide. The videos are graded by a panel of AAOS members. Dr. Gaston and Dr. Loeffler’s video was selected as the top educational video in hand and upper extremity surgery for the entire AAOS in 2017.  The title of the video is "Targeted Muscle Reinnervation and Its Role in Acute Management of Above Elbow Amputations".
