For three days last week, Charlotte played host to 105 of the top knee surgeons in the world.
President of The Knee Society, Dr. Thomas Fehring of the OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center, was the meeting host. Of the 110 in the Society worldwide, 105 were here attending the meeting. The leading source for research on knee replacement, the three-day meeting focused on a variety of topics on knee replacements including how to make them last longer and how to improve the patient experience and the surgery. Dr. William Griffin served as Program Chair for the meeting.
While the majority of surgeons were from the United States several attending meeting hailed from New Zealand, Italy, France, the UK, and Canada.
